Hanky Panky - Blameless designer Wilder is chased by snoops, cops, etc. Conventional, hardly comical comedy-thriller, with Radner miscast as the love interest. The flick was intended to be a follow-up to Stir Crazy, although Richard Pryor's part was revised for Gilda. You've seen it all before, and better. Cast includes Gene Wilder, Gilda Radner, Kathleen Quinlan, Richard Widmark, Robert Prosky, Josef Sommer, and Johnny Sekka. (88 minutes, 1982)

Bewitched - Isabelle is a witch, living in the San Fernando Valley, and trying to not use her mystic powers. She finds herself being courted by actor Jack Watt to play the role of Samantha the witch in a remake of the old 1960's sitcom Bewitched. What a odd twist of fate.

Ruby Gentry - Pompous, strolling account of simple-minded Southerner Jones wedding affluent Malden to spite Heston, the man she cherishes Cast includes Jennifer Jones, Charlton Heston, Karl Malden, and Josephine Hutchinson. (82 minutes, 1952)

Sugar Town - Enjoyable mosaic of LA life characterizing a handful of characters whose lives merge - a musician hopeful who'll do anything to get ahead, an uptight lone lady who allures the wrong men like a magnet, and a band made up of cleaned-up '80s rock stars, to name a few. Made on a shoestring, although intelligent and well recognized; excellent cast contains a number of actual musicians. Cast includes Ally Sheedy, Rosanna Arquette, John Taylor, Jade Gordon, Michael Des Barres, Lucinda Jenney, and Martin Kemp. (92 minutes, 1999)

The Geisha Boy - Jerry, an incompetent warlock, voyages to Japan with cataclysmic repercussions. Creative graphic gags; there's a clever pattern characterizing the Los Angeles Dodgers and, specially, Gil Hodges. Cast includes Jerry Lewis, Marie McDonald, Sessue Hayakawa, Nobu McCarthy, Suzanne Pleshette, Barton MacLane, and Robert Hirano. (98 minutes, 1958)

Live Flesh - Besotted child of a prostitute is jailed for accidentally shooting and paralyzing a cop. Original tale of teenager's error that takes him to prison. Spanish language. Cinematically stimulating, albeit, with a bravura finale. Cast includes Pedro Almodovar, Liberto Rabal, Francesca Neri, Javier Bardem, Angela Molina, Jose Sancho, and Penelope Cruz. (100 minutes, 1997)

Bolt - This is an animated family adventure movie about Bolt, a dog actor. On his Television series Bolt is an action super hero. When he is by accident shipped to New York, he thinks his super powers will get him home. He teams up with, Mittens the cat, and Rhino the hamster, and tries to get home to Hollywood.
